We love Colombia. So when our friends at De Tal Madre and Prana Pacifico invited us to join them on a 7 day, 6 night adventure to dreamy Medellin AND Terco, a private island in Nuqui on the pacific coast, we were SO in- but we knew we had to extend the invite to 14 of our closest friends (that’s you!)
Medellin is known as “The city of Eternal Spring”- it is magical. Full of culture, art, style, and balmy weather, Medellin will energize and inspire you. Formerly one of the most dangerous cities in the world, it is now a great source of pride for Colombia due to it’s transformation into one of the safest, most innovative, and cleanest cities in Colombia.
Nuqui is an untouched village in the department of Chocó, where the jungle meets the sea. We will be staying on the island of Terco, which boasts natural hot springs, lush rainforest, and, of course, the Pacific Ocean as your backyard.
Your trip will be all inclusive- once you get to Medellin, we’ll handle all transportation, food, and activities so you can truly disconnect and explore two wildly different yet equally beautiful parts of Colombia.
Just a FEW of the things planned:
- Beachfront yoga on the private island we’ll be staying at.
- Hikes to natural hot springs.
- Tour of Medellin’s graffiti and culture center, Comuna 13.
- Fishing expedition to catch our lunch in the Pacific Ocean.
- A night out in Medellin.
- Art museums and walking tour of Medellin.
- Three culinary workshops guided by Nuqui’s indigenous chefs, using ingredients endemic to the area.
- Beach days, fresh food, community building sessions.
- Optional surfing, massages, scuba diving, jungle hikes.
We value sustainability and supporting the local economy, which is why this experience will generate employment opportunities for locals in Nuqui and Medellin. There will be a donation that will be given to the community for social projects to better their quality of life.
Why Should I Come?
If you’ve been needing a break, a space to relax and disconnect from the stress of your daily routine, this is where you need to be. Beachfront yoga, incredible people, and falling asleep to the sound of waves will reenergize you and allow you to return to your work refreshed and better than ever.
If you’re into food and culture, you’ll love our cooking workshops and exploring the culinary side of Medellin and Nuqui.
Amazing restaurants, dinner on the beach, Medellin’s top museums, and the opportunity to learn from local chefs will prove to be an enlightening and incredibly rich experience. Plus, how many people can say they fished for their own lunch in the Pacific Ocean?
If adventure is your thing, look no further. How does staying in the midst of lush jungle, in a tree house surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty sound? Jungle hikes? Natural springs? Street art, hammock naps, and strolls through Medellin’s streets? Spend 7 days hanging out and exploring with a group of incredible, like-minded people (who will feel like family by the end of it!)

YOUR TOUR GUIDES
I love to do anything creative and see the good that can come out of every situation. I'm from Colombia and I'm an artist (acting, writing, design- anything and everything). I like my coffee black, I love meeting new people, and I can't wait to have an INCREDIBLE trip!
I am a Colombian who loves God, family, and traveling. I have moved often and have lived in places like Australia, Singapore, Colombia and the United States which has taught me to be flexible and enjoy each day as it comes.
I am so excited share my country with you!

How many people?
We can take a maximum of fourteen people. We are creating an intimate, powerful group of travelers who love adventure and are open to a life changing experience with us!
Where exactly are we going?
Nuqui is a small, untouched village on the Pacific Coast of Chocó. We will hop on a 45 minute flight on a small plane from Medellin to Nuqui, arrive at Nuqui, and then take a boat that will take us to Terco Island.
Medellin is a flourishing cosmopolitan city full of culture, art, and resilience where you’ll find the friendliest people in Colombia. (Manuelita is from there!)
Where are we staying?
We’ll be staying in a beautiful Antioqueña house in the trendy area of el Poblado in Medellin, walking distance to the metro and amazing restaurants. For Nuqui, we’ll be staying at Prana Pacifico, an oasis in the middle of the trees that overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
Is Colombia safe?
Colombia has grown immensely and has become a safe country to visit. We recommend the normal precautions: no over the top flashiness, be mindful, and avoid walking alone at night.
Is this legit?
You can find testimonials here, a link to our past retreat, and a really fun Instagram story detailing what we did this past September in Cartagena. Find testimonials for Prana Pacifico here and here.
I'm not based in Atlanta, but I want to come!
Well come! Because tickets to Medellin are not included, you can fly in from anywhere as long as we meet in Medellin on May 29th.
Do I need to know Spanish?
Not at all! we are fluent in both English and Spanish and can help with all conversations or questions.
Will there be gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian options?
Because we are having three culinary workshops, the idea is for you to enjoy the fresh, local ingredients and cuisine of the island, most of which is seafood. However, let us know upon registration and we will try to cater to your needs.
Will I be able to use my cellphone in Colombia?
Please check with your phone service provider to see if you'll need to purchase an international plan to use your phone. Medellin has a lot of complimentary wifi, and our house will have wifi as well, however Nuqui will not have service or wifi available so you can literally disconnect!
How much walking will there be?
Most activities will include walking, and to get to the boutique hotel in Nuqui will require a quick, 200 step hike.
Will I need a passport?
Yes, you will need a valid passport. A travel visa is not required.
Am I required to purchase travel insurance?
It is not a requirement, however we highly recommend it.
Do I need any special vaccines?
Yes, you will need to have the yellow fever vaccine due to the tropical climate and wildlife in Nuqui.
